Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but i found this awesome wheel size/ tire size calculator where you can compare two sizes. I've found it quite useful in helping figure out my final setup. You can find it here. Mods please move or disregard if it's posted somewhere else. Thanks

Did anyone istall 17" on EVO X? I think of using 17" for winter.
I tried TE37 17*8.5 with offset 30 - it doesn't fit, but seems like with offset 20-22 it should fit.
ADVAN GR-II 17*9.5 with offset 22 fits the caliper, but will probably contact with outside fender, so probably 17*8.5 should fit.

Anyone know if 17" Enkeis would clear the front brale calipers on an Evo X? Thinking of getting track wheels, I'd be happier with what would be a taller tire sidewall if you get tires with the same overall diameter.
Thanks

Are these offsets and fitments for the gsr, or mr, because if I remember correctly, the suspension is different if only by a little. I know it is weird, but I was considering using 275/40r18 (for traction and longevity, since I am planning on bf goodrich super sport a/s), and I noticed the 13mm clearance on the inside is approximately 2mm short of the 15mm necessary with stock offset. I am still unsure if when the wheels turn lock to lock they come closer to the suspension or not. Also, I wanted to check out how the wheel liners could be moved to make space for the wider tires, since it seems as if, with the right offset, the fender is not an issue. I am, as it says under my name, a noob, so feel free to ream me for dumbness.

That's what I was thinking too. But if that's the case, it should be easy enough to just put your hand in and check the spacing (should be just a little more clearance than a fingers worth (in my case). You can also turn it end to end and check the clearance again. I'll have to eyeball that next time I'm under the car

btw my old car had about 6-7mm of gap between the lip and strut (verified by using credit cards)....that was VERY close if you visually look at it....and you could not even stick your finger between there...13mm gap should be similar....I just know when I checked out my evo x wheel clearance on stock enkeis.....i was able to stick my finger in there and twirl it around like nobody's business...LOL...anybody have similar experience?

Ok... hope I can get some insight as this isnt helping make too much sense and its hard to picture in my head. Im trying to be flush with the body but im not sure how it will be with extended fenders up front.
Im getting the 10mm wider Seibon fenders and already am dropped on the Tanabe DF210's...
The wheels I was looking at were the Volk GTS 18x10 and the offset I was thinking was the +15... but with the fenders being 10mm wider would I be better off going a +1 offset so that the wheel lip/rim gets pushed out farther from the center (giving a bigger lip as well as moving the wheels more flush with the body).
The rear I am not sure what I will end up having to do (rolling is a given) but not sure if I will have to pull the body out at all. Ideas?
Oh and tires I was thinking were the 275/35's or 275/30's

Well I have some te47's on the way, 18x9.5 +22. I understand these are at the limmit and anything more agressive will need fender rolling, which I want to avoid like the plague. But can you guys let this newb know about "safe" tire choice? I understand that the tires I want(star spec 265-35) are "big" for their size. Does anyone have this combo and does it rub? Should I go to 255's or go for re11's? Thanks for any help...

Assuming that my understanding of this is correct (and my math), does this mean that you can only go 32mm bigger (13 + 19) with an offset of +35? Technically, that would be a 9.76" rim so in reality it would be 9.5" with an offset range of +29 to +41?
