I'm pretty new here and I'm trying to understand wheel and tire fitment.

My '12 Evolution X MR is completely stock and I wish to put on a set of Advan RZs.

Are 19s okay for a DD? Some people have said it's less practical? And would I have to change tires for a 19? Or could I possibly just stretch it out? I have no comprehension on sizing and tires..

I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I buy something so expensive and make sure it can fit.

Is it possible for 19s to rub on stock suspension?

Yes you can run 19s on stock suspension no issues. Yeah they're OK for daily driving, but 18s are better for performance. You cannot stretch your stock tires on to a 19 though, that's just not possible.

Thank you for the answer.

I think I might go for the 18s then...

One more size question. Can you stretch a stock 18 x 8.5 tire to a 18 x 9 wheel? Or would I have to buy new tires as well?

245s are fine on 9"-wide wheels.

ps. wheels are described as diameter and width, e.g., 18x8.5; street tires are described by sidewall width, profile, and wheel-diameter

I have the 18x9.5 RZ-DFs and ran my stock tires for a couple thousand miles. They were fine.

Went to 255s when it was time to replace the worn out stockers.

I'm dropped on eibach springs with 255/40/18 hankook v12's and stock wheels....I am ready to buy the TE37SL's black edition but want to make sure I'm making the right wheel size. I know that 18x9.5+22 is a good fitment for me but should I go bigger? I've heard people say the 9.5+22 isn't really aggressive enough. I don't want the tire to be completely stretched out but I'd like the largest wheel size possible without rubbing or sticking too far out also. any suggestions?

What are you trying to achieve? The stock wheels are "aggressive enough" for some people, and 19x12 isn't aggressive enough for others. If you don't want to rub and don't want to do any fender work, 9.5+22 is about as big as you'll manage.

I just want the largest wheel size possible with an agressive fitment that isn't gonna rub or call for rolling fenders. Like I said I have 255/40-18 tires so I don't want the tire to stretch out too much either...

9.5 is perfect for a 255. Go with that. +18 is as far as I'd go. +25 is even with the fender anyway.

I have a 12 evo gsr, have stock suspension, and thinking about getting gtworx springs with
es 2.2 18 10.5 +22.
I am looking of an aggressive look but also practical for dd, also debating what offset would be best.
I know I would need a fender roll if I throw the springs on, but wondering if I still need a roll if I keep the suspension stock?

Going to be hard to give definitive answer without tires size (and, maybe, make and model, as well).

A 265 or 275 on a 10.5 wheel. Yep you're going to need a fender roll, definitely on aftermarket springs, almost definitely on stock suspension.
