Vibration after Eibach springs
i am haveing some what the same problem. i just lowered my 08 X GSR with the Eibach pro kit. now i have a klunking noise coming from the front right side when i start to roll. it sounds like the cv joint. i took it to the dealer today and they told me that the strut is bottoming out..?!? does that sound right. im on a smooth road with no bumps and it still makes the same noise. i have had a alignment done. does any one else other than us have the same problem?
May want to look at the suspension arms-- not sure of the drop on the springs you have and if they would put the front end geometry out of wack. This could put undue load on the CV's ect causing your vibe. Control arms should be parallel to the ground if not at an upward angle from the outside of the car to the center. If you have an issue, there are off set bushings or bump steer kits to fix this. One other consideration-- have a look at the motor mounts they could be causing you the prob as well-- just a vibration you hadn't see before with the combo you have trasferring it more readily.
ok so i started to really think about the comment about the springs, so i tryed to move the spring with the car still on the ground and i can move it to make the klonking noise. when i get off work im going to the shop to try to re-align the spring. its looking like thats the problem
ok so i took the strut back off and re-seated the spring and noticed that the rubber sleeve that is on the eibach spring was not sitting on the bottem so i moved the rubber sleeve and the noise is still there. does any one think it can be a bad strut?
