Hubcentric Rings?
#4
The evo x is 67.1 mm, and many after market wheels are 73 mm. You'd need to find out the bore of the advans you want to determine if you need hub centric rings. If it's not 67.1, then you do. I'd recommend the plastic ones that don't corrode and get stuck on the hub like the metal ones can.

Like others have said, get them. I tried running a day without hub rings and the vibration above 80 mph was so bad it felt like the steering wheel was going to fall off. I even tried progressively torquing the lug nuts as some have suggested to help center the wheel, but the vibration was still there. Get some plastic hub rings from Discount Tire for $20.

Good point, but I haven't personally had issues with my plastic hub rings. Done about 4 track days on them, but I limited sessions to 10-15 minutes each to not abuse the car too bad The purpose of the hub rings is to center the wheel onto the hub before tightening the lugs. It doesn't really do anything once the wheel lugs have been tightened, so it seems that as long as the plastic doesn't actually melt or crack, it shouldn't have any negative effects.
