Winter Driving = Lowered
Winter Driving = Lowered
People keep telling me to lower my car and would love a lower stance. As the car is my DD, especially winter coming on in MN I don't want to bottom out on the Aero kit. I just want to get some peoples' opinion. Do you guys bottom out during the winter with lowering springs/Aero kit? Bought the car end of June so this will be my first winter.
If you're going to lower, get some quality adjustable coilovers. That way you can raise it up a little in the winter, and have it low in the summer months. I know being from Michigan if I hit some of the ice chunks laying in the road it would rip bumpers and sideskirts off.
I would suggest you wait for the first winter to pass, then you can save up and get coils like wiretap said. I am in a similar situation as you are and I am holding off on the lowering springs and volk wheels.
I might have to save up for some coilovers or just remove the front lip? Anyone ever do that before winter? When I did an oil change I did remove the brake cooling guides because I know they will get ripped off.
