Anyone use tire chains/cables on their Evo X yet? I'm going to hit up the snow soon and noticed the manual said no chains, but what about cables? I'm still running the stock tires/wheels. Thanks.

Look on craigslist. I'm sure someone is selling a used set of snows that may fit on the cheap.

Where do you live? I'm guessing 'Reese Tuned' means you're in San Diego? And which mountains are we talking about and how often?

To me chains/cables are same thing. But regardless: cables + Advans = ditch. If you're in SoCal and plan on heading to the mountains a few times in the winter, you'll probably want to get a set of AS tires.

Tire rack has some test where they compare studded tires to snow tires. The snow tires won.
