Height adjustable shocks (Not coilovers).

Hey EVO members,

I am looking for a device that will raise the front shocks 2" in height with a flip of a switch/button from inside the car. I know this feature is available for high end vehicle.

This would alleviate a lot of the headaches slowing down over speed bumps and driving at a angle.

Obviously not looking into airbags. Is this possible or is it a "pipe dream".

I think this would apply to all import and domestic markets and someone could capitalize on this idea and make a tidy profit (minus R&D).

Anyone know of a manufacturer offering this?

Let me clarify - no hydraulic lowrider kits either. I don't think the EVO X have enough trunk space for the tank. LOL!

Maybe Tein flex could add another feature on their system?

Actually, now that i think about it, my Range Rover had that feature, could go two inches up or down. It had a compressor under the hood and gas struts. That was one of the first of many things to break.

You'd not be able to run in the "not normal" ride height for long as you'd destroy your tires. I'm not sure how the range rovers get around it because on one I test drove it actually went lower at a certain speed to lower the wind noise/improve mpg.

and no way your going to get something that raises the car 2" without full air ride or a hydro setup but you can get very good coilovers that will let you go from slammed to high enough to clear things in the touch of a button

Heh, if you park in a spot that has steep inclines in or out I could see thieves get stuck trying to get away if they didn't know about the lift button.

SLOW2.0 - That's exactly what I was looking for.

Much Thanks to CoachG as well for this link: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=4176
