AYC sensor warning light
AYC sensor warning light
Need help with AYC sensor warning light. I started it up a few days ago and got the warning light.
AYC OFF - Service required
So I took it to the dealership and they took a look at it and said that my steering calibration was off and that they fixed it.
Following morning (today) I start up the car and the warning light is back. I call the dealership again and schedule for them to fix it. A few hours later, when I start the car to take it to the dealership the warning light is gone.
Dealership says there may be something wrong with the sensors.
My question is:
What causes this light to go off (other than extreme changes in temps)
Should I be worried about my Active Yaw Control system or is this just a little electrical gremlin?
My car is still completely stock other than a drop in filter.

In colder climates I think there was a TSB about this and the AYC pump going out. I'm not sure if that is what you're getting.
I'd definitely keep after the dealership on it though; it's likely not just a gremlin.

Checked levels, they're fine. I think it was just the temp jump from hot to freezing.
The problem now is..since I brought it in to the dealership, they made adjustments to the steering wheel and it's off center now.

The AWD service light came on today in my car. It was driven rather aggressively yesterday and it was fine this morning. When I drove again in the afternoon the light came on. Before this happened a strange pump like mechanical sound was coming out of the back where the reservoir is. I heard this once before a couple of months back, but no light came on after. While the noise was happening I checked the fluid, it was very low, almost to the bottom and it seemed like it was bobbing up and down/bumbling. I left the car for a bit then checked the fluid and it was at the minimum line. Dont know whats up the the diagram on the dash showing torque distribution isnt working and I dont feel like the system is on. The car over steers and I feel like it not handling the high speed turns like it should be.
There was a strange vibration in the car/steering column that started a couple of months back, but this may be due to a bad job at installing a crank pulley.
The weahter here has been at its coolest, not sure if this has an effect.

how is that a problem? take it back to the dealership and make them fix it. that's what warranty is for.
