Brakes = ZERO!!!

so I had a track day @ Yas Marina Circuit "map below"

the track is 5.5 km (3.4 mile) long, first 2 laps safety car was ahead so i did not push hard, 3rd and 4th lap taadaaaa brakes r gone!! I hit brake and nothing is there lol...yes pads r almost new "Ferodo 2500"

if you wonder, I easily hit 200+ kph (120+ mph) on the long straight line

so how could i eliminate this problem?
new brake kit for example?

What type of fluid are you using?

I just did my first track day at VIR and I had Motul 600 fluid, Hawk HP+ pads and stainless brake lines...

I did not have fade once and I raced almost the entire day.

yousef, you not need only pads, you will need SS lines & brake fluid and motul rbf 600's are recommended. then you will have brakes again. strongly advise you to change the fluids ASAP as the could've reached the boiling point and useless, do the lines at the same time no need for new BBK yet imho but later on you might consider upgrading new rotors, get the slotted ones . . .

DS2500 pads are NOT TRACK PADS!!!!

Rogue - HP+ are NOT TRACK PADS either

Now, you need the following:

A front set of dedicated track only pads. See the link above for options.

SS lines are good, I highly recommend them.

Brake fluid - DOT4 high boiling point fluid. I prefer Amsoil DOT4.

Brake cooling ducts are also really good to have, especially with the heavy X.

I would think the DS2500's would be WAY better than the stock pads, right? I've done 3 track days, and about 10 auto-x's in my stock pads (I have upgraded fluid and SS lines) and they are fine, still seem to work well. A little loud though LOL.

OP, SmikeEvo is correct though... Follow his instructions for the next track day, and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't say they are WAY better considering the stock pads are Ferodo. Just not sure which compound

Oh I know hp+ is not a track pad. I was just suggesting my setup that I user last weekend where I had no hint of brake fade. In any case I probably will buy a dedicated set off pads for races when I do it more often, but for now the hp+ did very well

I'd roast the HP+ in about two laps anywhere where I was able to get into 4th gear....

OP:
You roasted the fluid. You need to flush the fluid with something good. I personally recommend the Endless RF650 (I've boiled the Amsoil stuff).

The Ferodo DS2500 is a weekend warrior pad at the most. I had a set of them and they are NOT true track pads. You'll want to look at something in the line of the Hawk DTC-60 or DTC-70 or HT10 in order to approach a good track pad.

You should also think about other cooling options (ducting, dust shield removal, titanium shims, etc.)

Given that it was my first track day... and I did hit 120+ on the straights... I would have to say i was not driving as hard or braking as hard as you. =)
