Stock tires on 18 x 10.5 +15?

Just wondering if anyone has ever installed stock tires on 18 x 10.5 +15 rims before (TE37 super laps to e exact). I know it's going to be stretched but how bad? Is it going to be fine? How much modifications are needed to make it work? Thanks for looking and any inputs!

I think it'll be hella stretched...It'll probably be better if you sell your stock tires if theyre still any good and get a nice set of proper tires. Ruining a nice set of rims sucks BIG time.llol

I wouldn't do that. It is possible but your wheels will have a huge risk of getting damaged. I run 275's on my new TE's and they are slightly stretched.

Do not do it! The OEM 245/40/18's can only safely be mounted up to a 18x9.5 wheel. Either stick with the 18x9.5 wheel or purchase new tires for those wheels

Thank you for everyone's concern! I think I might try to do it still. I've talked to several people and they said they have that same setup and it works. I just wanted to avoid getting new tires until I have to.

What's the point of asking people to talk you out of doing something stupid and then doing it anyway?

I hope you don't plan to drive that car hard in any corners. The problem with stretching your tires is that you create a round surface instead of a flat surface on your tire which makes it very easy to A$$ out!!!!

If You can afford the wheels, I would assume your smart enough, or not stupid enough, to do what You have heard you can do with the stock tires. But hey when I ASSUME, I make an @$$ out of you and me. NOT THAT YOUR GOING TO DO THAT ANYWAY......

Why put larger wheels on if you aren't going to use larger tires?

Because I wanted to know if anyone has done it and if it was possible. Rather than getting hater comments.

yes it can be done.
no do not race or go spirited into corners.
yes it will be stretched a good amount but wont harm anything.
yes save up and get some 275/35
hard to get any support on this subject here, most guys here are function over looks (which is a good thing)
