TPMS Angst
I am done fighting the TPMS pain. I have five cars yet I was hoping for the the EVO to be a winter driver in the occasional snow. So much for doing that with stock tires.
Found a set of stock 18" Ralliart rims - - check.
Got a set of 25mm spacers to correct the offset and clear the damn brakes - - check.
Now the need to reprogram the TPMS....
I came to the conclusion that if you can't work on it, you don't really own it. And putting up with nonsense computer issues is just over the top after all of the above.
I finally found a Wheelrite Tech400 on Ebay for less than $400.
Maybe I will come up with a loaner program for it. It takes about 2 minutes to reprogram the car.

Well, Tire Rack's TPMS worked perfectly (were $209 shipped)
And Mitsu charged me $34.95 to reprogram (took them with an oil change roughly an hour)
Works like magic.
This x2 a year is not bad at all

The price new was a little ugly, but i was patiently looking through other online sources for them.

Was that $34.95 for all four sensors? And the Tire Rack sensors, what rims did you install them on?

when you guys reflash the new ones, you should have the TPMS computer copy the stock sensors frequency, then 'paste' it to the new sensors. This way you never have to reprogram and can switch between wheels no problem. I realize not everyone owns the TPMS tool, but this is the way I did mine.
with that said, if anyone needs it done around charlotte, hit me up.

These are the CUB sensors available through tirerack.
Here's a link to my controller/sensors:

I have an 'in' with a wholesale tirerack account, which is how I got the controller and sensors...
