Aftermarket TPMS

Did anyone purchase aftermarket TPMS and had it flashed properly?

I have another set of wheels I want to put on my X, but the dealer OEM TPMS are around $400. There must be an aftermarket ones available, but I'm wondering if the dealership will be able to flash them and get them to work with the car.

The reason I am asking - I have 06 350z and when I had aftermarket tmps installed, Nissan could not get them to work for some reason

Used OEM TPMS are in the for sale section all the time for about $125 for the set. I would just go that route and avoid the headaches. I did see a post a few weeks ago where a guy said a universal TPMS sensor was on the way, but like you found out on the Z, that is not saying much.

Did you get them as part of a wheel/tire package? Did you have to go to the dealer to have them programmed? Please advise.

i'd like an answer to this as well. tire/wheel vendors will ship with tpms to their local stores (such as discount tire) and at least will tell you, from my experience that their shops can reprogram the sensors with their scanners. has this been confirmed?

I got the OEM TPMS sensors for about $60 each from mitsuparts.net. They are a vendor on this site.

I've only ever had them programmed by Mitsu. Not sure if other places can or not. From what I understand, most places cannot, but you might get lucky and find one that can.

My tire shop installed the sensors... but I had to go to a Mitsubishi Dealer to program the sensors to work with the car.

How much did they charge? And did Mitsu have to physically access them to program or just a bunch of button pushing?

I've learned to live with the TPMS issue. But it does get annoying at times.
