springs and sway bar

this time I am more than ready to make the move for suspension upgrade
I already removed the rear sawy bar and the front sway bar is nearly removed.
I realized how difficult it is to take it out. I have order an hydraulic jack and that should do it

As far as choice I am ready to go with Springs and no coil over (just budget as I have so much to do on the cars)
Springs are only $300 and apparentely a good set of coil over is more lie $1600 to $1800

I am not looking to have the car to look better. not interested in a drop as with the 275 on 18 x 10.5 I am concerned it will rub

Just interested to road racing as I rarely use the car on the street and everything has been removed inside the car.

So the choice is Swift Spec R with hotchkis sway bar

I am plannin to order this week.
Is there a better choice for road racing?

I have the swift spec-r with hotchkis sways, but if it is a track car only, I would defintely upgrade to coilovers for sure. Yes it will rub also, mine rubs with my 9.5 wheel, I needed a fender roll, the process was $100, and took a little over an hour.

It handles very good with my current setup, amazingly actually. However, I do plan to upgrade to coilovers next spring, and if its a track car you'll be able to take full advantage of adjustablility and dialing in the perfect setup for your car.

That the answer I did not wanted to hear
but it is the truth
also as I am using the car on the snow the coil over will do a better job

thanks

Doing the front swaybar will be a pain most likley. I know on my car it is you have to take aparts everything for the most part in order to take it out.

Don't remember but I will say somewhere around 25mm.
with the same diameter you could have different strenght as you have to take into account the steel they use and if it is hollow or not and the inside diameter.
So basically it is not only diameter.

I order a hydraulic transmission jack to support the sub frame from underneath

the subframe it self isnt really heavy, its just a pain in the *** to take off rack and pinion has to be seperated from the steering column

You can do it without seperating the two...I did.

Expect a good 5-6 hour job if its your first time doing it.

Coilovers are a must for a track car in my opinion. The adjustability is worth it's weight in gold. Also, I'd suggest rolling your fenders. If done properly, you'll never even know by looking at the car that they're rolled.
