Tires have seperated from itself?

so i have 20,xxx miles on the original advans ( i don't push the car at all hence why they have lasted so long), there is still thread left on it, but the other day when i went to get a nail patched they refused to work on the tires since they said they have separated from itself and need to be replaced. i did some searching and when a tires separates from itself, its usually defective, but all 4 of them have the same issue. (outer tire wear, inner tire is fresh and there is a slight bump).

has this happened to anybody before? the car definitely does not feel as stable and kind of seems jittery/bouncy.

Tires are, well, tired... worn out, replace them. odd that it is on all 4 but it shows that you are consistent. Buy some good tires and love your car all over again.

If you need something quickly and inexpensive, check out the for sale section. There are a couple of good options, including a set of Hankook RS3s I'm selling. I promise, I didn't intend this thread to be a sales plug, I really didn't, but you DO need tires.

Be careful. The Advans have an asymmetric tread pattern with a little more rubber on the outside. If you weren't pushing the car, I would think it's natural to wear out the outside prior to the inside.

I had this exact same scenario play out at Belle Tire. Not sure if they haven't seen many tires like the Advan A13C, or if they were just trying to rip me off. Either way I did not have tread separation as they suggested.

I would get a second opinion since these tires are expensive.

I would say it is about time to get some new tires. 20k is alot on the stock advans.

If the tires really have seperated, they would be loud and a little bumpy. But seperated tires are pretty dangerous and can easily blowout.

My stock advans barely lasted 10k miles. Your fine, just get new tires and move on.
