Recommend 265/40 or 35 for 10.5 wheel?

The height on my current setup is 40 and the gap in the front is a lot more than in the rear (Tein S Tech)

I'm thinking a smaller wall would make it look even uglier up front. Are 10.5 normally ran in 35 wall size?

Everything I seem to find that is within my budget comes up 265/35/18. 40's are few and far.

But is 265/275 / 40 rare or something?

I wouldn't mind going 35 wall if I had coilovers but I'm stuck my suspension

This thread will go nowhere without offset....

And may I point out that getting 10.5s and putting 265s on them was a tad silly? No? OK, then I'll keep my mouth shut about that.

Sorry theyre RPF1's 18x10.5 +15

Ive seen both 265 and 275 on these and the 265 is slightly stretched it doesn't bother me @ all. My main question is sidewall. I've found a couple brands that make em in 40 walls @ 265 & 275. Basically I want to know why people choose a smaller sidewall when running wider tires, what is the reasoning behind this or is it just purely visual preference. Thank you.

EDIT - this is on 265 and it looks good. He is however on coilovers

They choose a lower profile with wider tires because sidewall height = width x profile and they want the correct diameter.

Thank you Iowa I knew there was reasoning behind it.

With springs you're not going to get that look when coils make your car sit on top of the tires. I've seen people run 285/35's on a 10.5" wheel. I'd personally run a 275.
