The thread, and I suppose the concept, exhausts me. The Op made a comment, somewhere in these posts about liking the way it looks. Presuming that to be true, then why possibly even pose the question as to why slam or not.
If, ultimately, it's all about appearance, the aesthetic if you will, then it is purely a personal decision and it doesn't matter what any of us think. Slam it, don't slam it, who cares? Paint it lemon yellow and glue basketballs to the doors, it doesn't matter, it's your car and you can abuse/ ruin it anyway you want.

I haven't read through this entire thread but my car is far from slammed and I have a bit of a wheel gap (not trying to slam it) and it looks to have just about the same ground clearance as your e92 (based on the pictures).
You'd be most successful slamming an evo if you when with taller wheels like 19s or 20s.
That's my 2 second assessment.

As silly as this may seem, my answer that the OP posted it in the handling forum.Originally Posted by Johnr352

I like your ride... is that the 7 series rim? never seen a 3 series with it. nice Originally Posted by EDM92

I love the slammed looks. had my Z on the floor. But when I drove the Evo, those cornering feels > sweating over new plazas with bumps and dips..
what made you change from a BMW to an Evo? if you like the slammed look, how come you didn't choose some lower friendly cars? typically people associate Evos with rally/canyon/drift/cornering/moar turbo.. there's the new 370Z, G37, FRS, BRZ.. all probably look good stanced..

Lol coming from the VW scene, I had a 08 Gti and I was used to rolling fenders, putting 215s on an 8.5infh rim, scraping subframe, ripping off my lip.
I think it's that way because while my Gti made good power it was still fail wheel drive and was really hard to make power other than basic bolt ons. The VW/Audi community does not have "protuning" you basically buy a flash and your ecu supposedly adapts.
Anyway I feel with the evo I'll have it at monster truck status because I don't hit **** anymore, no rubbing and it actually handles pretty well.
I think what got me out of the VW scene was when I had an 04 GLI and ripped a hole in the gas tank.
All in all evos IMO are a drivers car, vws and most audis are low and slow cars...

I asked the question to find out if there were any issues that I needed to know about, like the oil pan hanging too low or something like that.Originally Posted by Johnr352

Thanks! Yes, 7 series wheels. I don't have any Evo yet. Picking up a new car, still deciding what it will be. Evos look good stanced tooOriginally Posted by m0nkie

I don't think Audi's are low and slow cars, quite fast actually, although a lot of people do stance them out. VWs are definitely low and slow though.Originally Posted by xXANCHORMONXx
