Exclamation How to spot fake Rays lug nuts

Hey guys I noticed that no one has posted up how to know if you are going to buy fake Rays engineering lug nuts. So im just going to post this up just so no one gets ripped off around here.

Yeah I couldn't imagine someone buying a set of fakes and then them breaking during a drive causing them to get in an accedent.

I got had by these...I have 2 sets one real, one fake

I could just tell they weren't right when I opened the package

From what I've been told its very hard to tell the difference in packaging (if you don't know what your looking for that is).

Did you return the fake ones?
If you did what did the seller say?

Has there been any reports of failures from these particular replica lug nuts? I can't see them being a huge variable as far as durability is concerned.

I am however, against the use of anything but steel lug nuts as there are reports of other brands of aluminum and titanium lug nuts sheering.

best advice is to purchase from authorized dealers, its hard to spot fakes from pictures as they could be doctored or pictures of the authentic ones
