how long to settle
how long to settle
si I installed swift springs yesterday and I have a couple of questions. how long (time or mileage) does it take for them to settle? and should I get an alignment now or wait for the to settle a bit first? swift spec r springs so far ive dropped 3/4 on an inch in front and 5/8 in back

3 hours and 12 minutes or 116.5488 miles.
...it shouldn't take much time at all. Drive around a short bit, some turns and uneven road and you are set. As for the alignment, I'd be surprised if the spring settled/changed so much that it would affect the alignment. I might just use the trip to the alignment shop to settle the springs.

That's a reasonable question. What's it supposed to drop?
I wouldn't expect it to drop significantly more, after driving it a tiny bit. You might search around a bit for others that have the same springs and see if they had similar experiences. My only experience has been, after the car is on the ground, the springs tend to be a bit noisy (all springs) until they seat into the perches a bit, but no significant additional drop, aside from just getting the weight of the car on them and the dampers from a couple of corners.

I just want to +1 what John wrote. Good springs, when installed correctly, do not need time to "settle." Part of the whole point of buying good springs is that they don't change.
im still happy with the way they ride even if it doesn't get any lower. I was just expecting the 1.4 drop in front and 1 in the back.
