wheel fitment and offset question

Im trying to buy wheels 18x9.75+20 offset with 245 tires... im wondering if it will be an issue with rubbing and clearing the fenders without fender mods.

I'd be surprised if a 245 rubbed, even with 20 offset.

I'm not familiar with a 18 x 9.75 wheel. That's pretty wide for a 245...

You sure 18x9.75 is correct?

Why would you get those wheels for 245s?

Or, if you insist on doing this bass-ackwards by choosing the wheels first ... why would you put 245s on a 9.75"-wide wheel?

I've seen many run oem rubber 245's on 18X9.5 no prob or rubbing on RPF1's that are +15mm w/ springs.

Yeah 9.75 width is odd size you don't see too often.

You also see people putting hood-scoops on Hondas (plus, my hair is a bird, so your argument is doubly invalid). My point was that the combination of 245/40/18 and 18x9.75 doesn't make sense from a performance standpoint. If you have 245/40/18 tires, there is no need to lug around the mass of a 18x9.75 wheel (plus, that's close to stretched). Conversely, if you have 18x9.75 wheels, you really ought to run 265/35/18 tires.
