Coilover recommendation

Right now I have an Evo X MR 2013, stock suspension.

What's the best coilover setup for (decently comfortable over bumps), but very aggressive on turn in and stability? Budget of $4,000. Will be tracked 1-2 times in AutoX, otherwise a very spirited driver here!

I did KW3 suspension with Roll Center kit , rear whiteline sway bar with whitline end links and whiteline rear adjustable control arms.

So far the car feels smoother than stock ( with the settings provided on this forum)

yet the sucker has virtually no body roll and my personal none super suspension guru saying.. "it handles like a go kart" lol

I am going to put MAP prices from their website:

KW3 Inox Suspension $2499.99
Rear Sway bar $197
Roll Center Kit : $215.91
Whiteline Adjustable rear control arms $359.91
$3272.81
thats without install
mandatory pic of my car lol :

if you want coilovers only
Ohlins Stage III Road and Track Coilovers (Evo X) are supposed to be good.
$3449.00

or maybe some RobiSpec KW3's

Maybe the suspension gurus can chime in

Ohlins R&T III is what you would want.

If you don't track so often. I think KW V3 will be better for you. It's more comfortable than the Ohlins and also cheaper.

Since this is my third car, I think I might make it just a weekend warrior/track car.

Knowing this, what are bar none the best coilovers, with a $5,000 budget? Not talking about any other suspension component, just coilovers.

I'd go with JRZ RS at that budget and since it will be your track car.

JRZ RS1 would be a great option at that price point.

I'm rocking the V3s, what settings are you running at? I think i'm on one click from center on compression and center on rebound

Great setup, I have a similar setup with the Robispec KW Race two ways; and yes it handles like a go cart. I added the PSRS -0 and made it even better. My coils are harsh as an daily driver, but on the track, wow.

I decided on the Ohlins. What else do I need with this kit? I know an alignment is necessary, but any other parts? (Also have RSB and endlinks)

Also, do I need a spring compressor to install these?

Just to throw in, there's just way too many knobs for coilovers. I personally went to http://www.muellerized.com/ based on his very long racing experience for my ohlins and whiteline install. I can tell you I'm not running anywhere near a stock alignment, and even just figuring out the ride height, preload, coilover length, and all alignment settings needed for the suspension to perform is going to be an insane amount of trial an error.

Most of the guys I know that did their own install ended up changing settings at least 5x times (and changing their alignment 5x too) costing them way more than it would have to just hit up a reasonable tuner with race winning experience.

That's my 2c

The other problem with doing it yourself is that you'll have to answers questions about your set-up. With a Muellerized set-up, you can't answer questions because you don't know. And even if you did know, you couldn't tell anyone without risking his wrath. tee hee

ps. suggesting that a guy in NY get his suspension installed in southern CA is a tad rude. not as rude as my own post, but still a bit off.
