Best drop/handling spring?
Best drop/handling spring?
It was probably talked about a million times but my patience is nothing but a headache at this point, anyway im looking to drop my car to sit perfectly with my fender without scraping, and 25mm spacers is enough to line it up too correct? Whats the best springs for the nicest looking drop and keeps or even increases handling, and keeps the ride comfort to atleast stock any suggestions ?? I know its a very touchy subject but times are tough and moving out and my budget wont cut it for coils etc you know the deal
I had the swift spec-r which handled really nice. The drop however was not to my liking, i had them on for a year before i switched out to AST 4100 coilovers last month. The GTworx springs are very similar to the spec-r's but i believe they are slightly lower, correct me if i am wrong.

you are right. its been brought up over and over. I personally run swift spec r and 20mm spacers on the oem gsr wheels. I sometimes wish it was a little lower but the functionality of the swifts make up for it. I believe that the h&r springs give you the lowest drop. as for what size spacers will give the flush look, it depends on the width and offset of the wheels you are going to be using.

I'm pretty sure if you drop it all the way to your tire with just springs, you aren't going to keep or improve handling. Many of the springs (GTWorx, Swift, etc) will improve handling but they don't drop you clear down to your tire.
25mm spacers are even with the fender give or take, probably 26mm is dead even. Depends on camber and where you measure from.

This is true. I have gtworx friend got swift and I'm lower. But probably not as low as the OP wants. I have about a 2 finger gap front and rear. Maybe slightly less. Friends Swifts, in my opinion were a bad drop. Front has like 4 fingers and rear like 3. The rake doesn't really look good either. I ordered coils so I'm trading him my springs for his so he can have a nicer drop.

BTW I'll be selling off my spec-r's soon, let me know if you're interested.

I was torn between Swift Spec R's and H&R Sports. Decided to go with H&R's because it has a lower drop, better price and I've had them previously on my bimmer.
Too bad, there's no FSD (Frequency Selective Dampening) shocks for our cars. Had those before and they were awesome!
Will update after my install.
