Leaking Rear Strut

While working on the car I recently discovered my right rear Bilstein strut was leaking. The yellow strut body was covered in dirt and grime so it looks like it has been leaking for some time. My Evo has less than 30K miles and has never been raced or tracked.

Has anybody has this issue? For the strut to last less than 30K miles without being seems crazy.

Thanks
