What to expect with light weight fly wheel?
My clutch started slipping these days (45K miles). I autocross every month for years so this is about time to replace it. I am deciding whether or not to replace the fly wheel with a new stock one or a aftermarket light weight piece.
I understand a light weight wheel will make the car rev more freely. Considering I autocross a lot, need a lot instant low end torque. Wondering what I should expect with a light weight fly wheel. Will it change characters of the torque curve? Will I loose more low torque? Is re-using the original stock fly wheel a bad idea? Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Sammy

If you get an aluminum one, the only one to get the is ACT prolite (which actually isn't aluminum, but weighs about the same), which doesn't have the aluminum disc on steel ring gear setup. Most others with that setup can separate under heat, because the aluminum expands at a different rate than the steel.
