Hey, guys,
I was assembling the Ohlins this morning.
However, I have a question regarding the front shocks.
After I torque down the "top hat nut", the top mount doesn't spin freely.
If I do spin with hand, the top hat nut will move with it and eventually loose the nut.
Is there anything I did wrong? , or was it not torqued enough. I tried to apply some grease, and it still wont spin freely.
Or it is supposed to not spin freely?
I always thought top mount should spin freely like the stock kybs and bilsteins, but this is only the second set of coilovers I have ever had in my life, so it could be normal..

is the nut down all the way? if i remember right, the spacer fits over the end of the strut rod? the spacer should be shaped so that the bearing rests on it, without the top mount touching?
the top mount should articulate on the strut. if you had pics of your assembly, maybe we could pick up on something that is off.
both sides aren't working right?

Spherical bearings are stiff when new, especially ones that have some sort of liner. As long as you have everything installed correctly, I'm sure its normal.
If its a radial bearing top mount, you need to pull it back apart and make sure its put together correctly.
