I am new to the evo game and i was just trying to test fit some wheels my wife picked up for my birthday and see the type of center caps I need. Once I removed the wheel i noticed all the rust?? is this normal? anything i should do?

it's normal. just hit it with a wire wheel on a drill. i've seen some people hit it with a coat of black paint. personally whenever im working on brakes i just wipe the hub with a metal protectant coating from amsoil that helps prevent most of the rusting on the hub.

Its normal I wouldn't worry about it. I would only bother painting it if your not gonna get center caps.

THANKS!!! they aren't anything crazy offset. they are 18x9.0 et 25. They clear the brakes buy quite a bit. (Ravspec in long island NY good guys to deal with). I will post pics of them installed after the winter. Snow tires going on the stockers and the tires going on these. I am probably going to go with a 255 40 tire once the original tires wear out. NYC winters are terrible, snows then freezes then snows and freezes again. Hard to get into a spot with a low car.

I can only offer my experience, but yes, my 2015 had a lot of rust there too. The car arrived at the dealer with no center caps on (probably to make sure they don't get scratched in transit). So, on the trailer ride to the dealer through the salty roads, they stood no chance.
