Bridgestone Potenza RE760 SPORT with XXR 527 18x9.75 Fitment

Can someone please give me some advice on these tires with the XXR 527 18x9.75 20+offset.

Bridgestone's Potenza RE760 Sport Ultra High Performance Summer tire. Will these tires fit on these wheels with no fender rolls? I DO NOT want to pay someone to roll my fender and i do not want to take a baseball bat to it.

So i just would like to know if anyone tried fitting these Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires with the XXR 527 18x9.75 20+offset and is lower on Ebiach Pro Kit if they had to roll their fenders?

I'm in the market for tires and these are in my budget considering it is not my DD. I was thinking the stock tire size is 245/40/18. Can i do 255/35/18 with these tires while im lowered on these 527's without doing a fender roll? What tire size would you guys recommend that requires no fender roll?

Thank you.

You should at minimum put a 265/38r18 on it. It shouldn't rub with the higher offset, if it does, it'll be worth it to pay for a fender roll. 255/35r18 tires don't look good, especially on the X. They're too small in diameter.

Hmm.... I think the stock tire (245/40-18) looks good. So why wouldn't a 255 tire size look good?

Fender rolling is around $300 and it is not worth it in my opinion if i could just get a tire that fits nice and tight without the need of rolling.

Agreed with above, at min put 265/35's. 255/35's are substantially shorter than the stock 245/40. Basically your wheels wont fill the wheel well as nicely. The wheels will look small for the car. They might accelerate a bit better but your gearing will suffer. With that said 265's on +20 9.75's will likely rub slightly in the rear (camber and suspension dependent.) I'd say 9.5" +25 is a safe bet for no rub.

Okay i ordered the 255/35/18 already and i will have to cancel them. But first i need to understand something. My wheels are 18x9.75 20+mm offset. So you're saying to put 265/35's instead correct?

I don't understand the last part when you said "I'd say 9.5" +25 is a safe bet for no rub.". The reason i don't understand it is because you are saying get 25+ offset. my wheels are 20+ offset right now so.. are you suggesting that i buy entirely new wheels to get to the 25+ offset your talking about?

Are you guys saying i should order the tires in a different offset that the wheels i have? I actually didn't know that would work. Very new to tire dimensions.

Being that your primary concern is not fender rolling I'm saying that 9.5" +25 will be a safe bet to not have to, at 9.75" +20 there is still a chance you'll rub. From experience I know that 9.5" +15's with a 265 tire and rear camber of -1.2 rubbed. Since 9.75" is a 1/4 of an inch wider ( 6mm total or 3mm to each side) it effectively makes it 2mm further in the wheel well than my 9.5" +15 set up. So your wheels with 265's may still rub. Keep in mind that this is dependant of suspension and alignment settings. You could prob get away with it with more negative camber. Feel free to ask more Q's. Good luck, keep us posted.

I think most, if not all will agree NOT to go with super skinny rubber band tires just to avoid rubbing. You're not going to like the way the car feels on the road. The Eibach's lower the car a good amount. I would pay to get it rolled and get a good size tire. But hey... it's your car. Up to you. If anything, I would toss the stock tire size on there. Not sure about the rubbing though. Take a look here

Yes I will have to cancel the 255's I ordered then. I am the type of person that would rather it look and feel right rather than regret it. I seriously hope I don't rub while they mount the 265's at discount tire. If they do rub, what do you guys do in that situation? I mean, if the tires rub and I need a fender roll do I call a tow truck? Do you guys drive it home anyway? What is the proper scenario for someone in the situation? Would it be better to be safe and schedule a fender roll at a auto body shop the same day discount tire attempts to mount the 265s then just drive it to the auto body shop?

What are your alignment specs? When I had my 265's on +15's I only rubbed on large pot holes. So you'll prob be able to drive it to either an alignment or body shop. If you do get them rolled make sure the shop has the proper equipment and have experience with Evo's.

I'm going to need a new alignment when I mount these new tires correct?

After asking for advice on alignment for the pro kit I ended up with these results.

FRONT:
Left front: -1.1
Right front: -1.1
Left Front toe: 0.01
Right front toe: 0.03
TOTAL TOE: 0.04
STEER AHEAD: -0.01

REAR:
Left rear camber: -2.1
Left rear toe: 0.05
Right rear camber: -1.9
Right rear toe: 0.00
TOTAL TOE: 0.05
THRUST ANGLE: 0.03

Well the rear look good, I doubt you'll rub with that. But I do have to say the fronts generally should have more negative camber or at least equal to the rear.

sounds like good news to me. Generally from my research on here I have noticed it's mostly the rears that need to be slightly rolled. So for you to say that gives me hope. Lol. I do understand it is not a big deal to roll fenders but I just do not want to pay the additional money to do it.

thanks!
