Question A few questions surrounding alignment

I was hoping someone could clear up which direction may be best to go in:

The car initially had a whiteline bump steer correction kit, the end link that ties the spindle to the steering rack was shot. The lower knuckles were just fine, so a friend helped me to fabricate a new end link to replicate the dimensions of the whiteline piece. This end link was made using a Metric rod end 14mm x 1.50 from pegasus racing, and 3/4" OD 0.125 wall DOM tubing. As you can see in the following picture, a spacer was made with the tubing and beveled to not interfere with the bearing movement. The knuckle tapered hole was drilled out to accomodate a regular 14mm bolt to hold the assembly together.

I took the car to get an alignment done, and I noticed the steering felt odd immediately. The most noticeable thing is the car will tend to steer in to the direction of a bump or rut in the road much more than regular, this seems like bump steer right? This 'steering into the bump' effect is much more noticeable at high speeds, downright scary. I just don't understand enough of what to change, or how to address changing it to fix the seriously out of proportion steering feel.

I am getting to the point where I am wanting to buy a whole new set of front knuckles and a new whiteline bump steer correction kit to go the easy route. Problem is I am in the poor Evo owners club, which leads me to my next question: Does any other car share the same knuckles as the evo so I can find them cheap?

What were your alignment specs?

You already have the spindle modified, so I would just pull the spring off the shock and cycle the suspension to measure bumpsteer.

Thanks I will try that, I never even thought of it! I suppose I will have to rent a spring tensioner. Here are the specs of my last alignment at les schwab: (I hope it is not violating to mention service providers)
