Bumpy feel during braking

Recently changed my rotors to slotted rotors and new pads, tightened and torqued the caliper bolts . Didn't have any problems for the next week or so after. Left for work for 3 weeks so no one drove it, once I got back yesterday, noticed that it has a bumpy feel when I start applying some brake at 40 mph and up. At lower speeds its not doing it. I haven't pulled tires off yet to look at the rotors, but am going to shortly. I know I put everything back together, doubt I tightened too much on the lugs. But if they aren't warped or anything, any suggestions?

Modern rotors don't warp under normal circumstances, but you could have pad material built up, unevenly. Have you or anyone else been hard on the brakes?

I'm the only one that's driven and don't usually brake hard unless I'm forced to

Usually cruising won't cause it, but I guess it's possible, depending on pad brand/material. My track pads do this occasionally, but I wouldn't suggest fixing it the way I do
If you want, you can pull the rotors off and have a brake shop refinish them real quick. Don't let them turn them, just the sanding/finishing they do at the end. I've also taken a light-grit sandpaper and gone over mine. That also works. Basically, you just need to get the uneven material off.
It won't hurt anything but sure can be annoying.

P.S. If the car was sitting, maybe there is surface rust on the rotors, now?

You probably want to re-bed the rotors and pads. Were the E-brakes engaged during the time you travel?
