How hard is it to put a strut bar on?

I posted on here a couple weeks ago about Password JDM having 40% off sale on everything.

Their strut bar looks great. The one I got I would say the quality is 8.5/10. But for the life of me I can't put it on. I can take the stock one off and on. Trying to get this thing on is harder than it was to pull my buddy's motor out of his car. Which leads me to believe that this thing was made a little too "short". I've spent 3 days on trying to install it, with no success.

I can't get it to fit over the "lip" that surrounds the strut mount. I've jacked up one side of the car, both sides, no sides.. Am I just a moron?

That second picture (top view) really says alot! looks like it needs to be a hair longer to clear the lip. If the bolts line up (and if the vendor you purchased from wont help you), i would grind out more of the outer portion of the inner hole and call it a day.

Curious about the hole to hole dim from the stock bar to this bar? Maybe you find a diff between the two to confirm that aftermarket bar was fab'd wrong

I was going to say take the load off of the wheel ends (getting the wheels in the air) but looks like you may have done that

I got one from the same batch. I had to grind out the extra space. Kinda frustrating on a nice looking piece.

Hm.. That doesn't sound promising. Was yours red too?

I was wondering if I swapped it out for a different color if it would be from a different batch.

Finally heard back form PWJDM.

It is made wrong. Too small. They have 1 more red bar in stock. But it is also too small.

They said I can either return it for a refund or keep it and they will give me a partial refund. I might try and keep it and see if I can grind it down some like AJV
