How-To: Factory Evo Strut Bar...

Ok, I know strut tower rs are cheap, an their use is always been debated, but thats not what this thread is about, so please keep it out of it.

I got a factory evo strut bar from a friend a little over a year ago, and a couple of weeks ago, I started messing with it trying to get it to fit.

First off, the tab in the center needs either bent, or cut off.

The straight bar needs cut close to the ends, because other wise, it will hit the EGR canister, making it not fit.

If you have an intake, you will need to turn your clamps so they don't hit the strut bar. then all you have to do is remove your strut tower bolts, and put it on!

What I plan on doin is taking it to a friends and welding it back to where it fits around the canister, where it will look better.

btw, I guess I should tell ya if ya have a problem with your car running rough, then you'll need to move the vacuum line that the bar will sit on. it kinda acts like a built in damper tho.

The only part I see it hitting is the cruise control module on top of the throttle body.
Other than that it should fit fine. Kinda looks rigged up if it's cut like that tho.

honestly, nope. My daughter was born in December, so thats been taking up alot of my time, and I have been working my *** off. I'll actually be working on this very soon, because work is slowing down, and I'll have more time to mess with it.

I will post pics as soon as I get stuff done.
