Official Hawk brake pad bed-in procedure
Recently I was having some issues with the Hawk ceramic brake pads (p/n: HB453Z.585 & HB615Z.535). It turned out that I didn't bed in the friction material unto the rotor metal properly, which caused brake judder. Like the author John Framigllia on Parts Avatar explained:
So I searched and found the official bed-in guide on Hawk's website. After properly bedding in using the street pad procedure, the brake pads feel soooooo smooth now. The 3 hard stops from 45 mph (70 km/h) in the 2nd step really helped, so I thought I should share the procedure with you:

If the brakes are not bedded-in properly, you can end up with uneven brake pad deposits on the rotor surface. This can lead to improper pad grip on the rotor surface, causing it to slip and grip intermittently. This can also cause a judder on the brake pedal as you apply the brake.
