geez.. where do you live? gas prices must be astronomical wherever you are...

here in so. cali... it's like 2.35 a gallon and its usually like 25 bucks a fill up take or give a few bucks... and brakes are so easy to change in the evo... it's just the cost of parts that you really need to worry about... even that.. it's only like 150 for high performance ones.. =)

no joke bro... i'll take a picture of a gas station tonight and post it tomorrow... depending on where you are... it can go as high as 2.95 for premium from what i've seen... and to top it off... only 91 octane is offered.... there are a few places that offer higher octane... but they are few and far between... =(

600$ for brakes is at the dealership, and its a rip off. The evo only has a 14 gallon tank, so a full one wont cost much but, you might have to refill more often. This is not where the main costs for this car come in. Bottom line: If you don't want to spend money, this car is probably not for you.

I don't know where you guys are getting your gas here in SoCal, but I get my 91 octane for 2.15 a gallon...but then again, it's in the valley. FYI, it's the Mobil station on Sherman Way, right across from Smart and Final (forget the cross street).

I cant see the EVO being too expensive if you leave it alone, not that I am leaving mine alone.

the gas tank is small - so 45 is not possible unless you are paying too much for your gas. 20mpg is what i get. not sure on the breaks, but thats what the warrenty is for...
