Will a lancer hood fit on an Evo?

Does anyone know if the lancer hood will fit on the Evo? Assuming they are the same years.

Edit: I've never even looked closely at a lancer, so this question could be out in the parking lot.

Don't think so. Only the trunk lid and front door sheetmetal are the same.

Nope...won't work. The Lancer hood rounds down to the bumper and includes the grille, whereas...well, you know how yours looks. I suppose that a front bumper swap could be done, but I don't think that would work well with the headlights, the wider front fenders, or most importantly, the IC.

...and just out of curiosity, why? The hood and front bumper are built the way they are for a purpose...why change that and hurt performance?

The hole in the hood is functional, but not necessary. DSMs have been fine forever. Plus, under the hood temps should be the same as the atmosphere at cruising speeds.

I just HATE that grate and hole.

I was thinking mainly in terms of...if you had to do a front bumper swap in order for the hood to work. Then the IC would be suffering badly. As far as the vent in the hood goes...yeah, you're probably right about it not making a huge difference.

Just had a thought...I wonder if VIS or anyone else makes a cf or fiberglass oem type Lancer hood to work with the Evo VII kit? That type of hood would end where your Evo hood would end in order to work with the grille being attached to the bumper. As far as I know, from the inside of one fender to the other, they are the same width...so it should fit.

I don't like the hood vent either. If you find a solution, PM me I would like to know.
