IF i do ill be driving it in less then 2 months.... what do you think of a EVO being your first car (already know how to drive manual) and how much do you think insurance on a 16-17 year old is gonna be like??

I sell insurance in SW FL, let me tell you, more than likely, it will be sky freaking high! I'm 26/married (good factors for insurance) and insurance on the Evo is WAY up there. $300/mo. I have 2 speeding tickets. You'll be paying at least that much. Then again, rates could be lower in your area. Where are you from?

Be ready to get flamed for asking opinions about this being a 16 year old's first car.....

Your parent's credit, your parent's already having multi-car discounts, and your A-B grades won't offset the additional cost of insuring a 17 year old (male, I'm assuming) driving an Evo. The rates will be high....

It does depend on your parents credit rating and deductible amount. How many cars your parents insure may also make a difference. I'm 18 and under my parents insurance aswell, and they get a discount because they have 3 cars, all worth around 30k. So I end up paying $150 a month full coverage.

Also, it depends on how high the limits are, and insurance rates vary greatly region to region. Are you leasing or buying? If you're leasing it, then you'll need to carry higher limits than most people carry, and that will definitely cause your rates to be higher than most, especially at your age. Will you be on their policy? I'm guessing at least $250 a month....I could very well be wrong though, I hope I am for your sake. Down here, it would be that high or higher.
