Only for races and test the whole track is opened and you can run a full turn.
Yeah, I have heard that. From what I understand you also have to watch out for tour busses, families on vacation taking random lines, and um.. idiots in rental cars.

Do they allow you to run events there -- sponsored by clubs where you can run more than one lap?

I still have to do it! 172 corners and 14 miles -- I just can't conceive of it from my experience on tracks in the US.

Yeah, those tourist rides are at weekends.

The fast drivers drive there only mondays when there are no freaks.
The rest of the week it's closed for testings and stuff.

No, you can't rent the Nuerburgring Nordschleife (that what we are talking
about). Only the Nuerburgring Grand Prix Course (where the F1 runs)
Actually it's 2 courses in one but when peolpe talk it's always the Nordschleife.

you ride a caterham? That's sweet.
We have a lot of Donkerfords (Donkys) here and they drive the s##
out of GT2 and GT3 Porsches on the track.

The Caterham is a lot of fun. In the US no one knows what it is.

Drive it to the track, kick the crap out of everyone including trailered race cars, drive home -- leaves everyone wondering what that car was

Check this link out -- filmed this earlier this year at a local track.

Forget about the original topic - we have more important things to discuss

Here's a like to the Donkervoort that ran by far the best laptime at the european
tuner grand prix at Hockenheim in germany.
The closest car was a 700+hp Gemballa Porsche which lost over 1 sec!

Nice vid though!

Great link. I wish I could understand German -- I would get a lot more out of it than just the pictures!

Cool, a German Caterham.
Interesting engine options. Looks really well built.
