Some excess glue left from de-badging..

I removed the Lancer emblem from the trunk of my Evo. All of the glue was not gone when I took off the Lancer, and soap and water didnt work to remove all of it. Now it says Lancer in glue slightly, what can I use to remove all of that glue and make it like it was never there???

Buy some Goof Off at Home Depot. It's from natural stuff like citrus juice so it won't hurt the paint at all.

Goof off is what my son uses in class. Thats right I am a old man. Use a hair dryer to soften the glue. do not use chemicals. finish with
a non-abrasive wax.

i found when removing emblems that getting the emblem off is easiest with some dental floss and for removing the glue i use a rubber valve stem stuck in a drill and at a low speed run it across the glue... takes it off real nice and doesnt damage the paint...

Goofoff is pretty strong stuff, I wouldn't want to put that on my paint especially if my car was dark colored... lol fuel would be a better choice and safer for the paint.

I used a hair dryer to heat the gule up and then fishing line to get behind the emblem, after that all you need is warm soapy water to remove the adhesive backing from the car

if you still have some left over use steel wool or a brillo pad lol

I used "Clear Coat Safe" Bug and Tar remover Went over it like two or three times, then used Maguires Car Polish and Car Wax, turned out perfect.

Either Goof Off or Goo Gone will work. Will not damage paint. Used it when I removed the stupid "Evolution" badge and installed the awesome UK trunk badge. The stuff works like a charm.

I used the same thing as MAVERICKVIII. Except with Nasio. Worked REALLY well, no sign or residue.

motor oil will work just as good as the other products with no potential damage to your paint

I tried goo gone and it did peel my paint. I will try the hair dryer/wax method.
