my idiot friend used his remote start when his car was right behind mine. While he was in gear and hit my rear end (nothing damaged there) but the front has a little dent near the triangle

Now my question is how much would a stock bumper go for??

i think you will only be puttin out a couple hundered for it, not too expensive

If the dent isn't that bad you can probably bang it out with a rubber mallet and get touch up paint.

 

Sorry You are waay off on that one.... try near 800-1000 bucks mitsu dealer parts are expensive as hell...

i was quoted 1000 bucks to replace the rear bumper on my evo after somone backed into my car... Now that was all labor included so im not 100% sure how much the actual bumper is itself but i know there is not 800-900 bucks of labor in there.

Luckally we were able to take a heat gun ( AND VERY CAREFULLY) and the dent poped out and it only would cost about 100 bucks to repaint (not using touchup)

and ofcourse this is the rear bumper im speaking of so i have no clue on the front

if you have remote start, DONT leave car in gear!!!
my friend did the same thing and learned his lesson.

 

For mine to work it has to be running on the turbo timer when set with doors closed. If anything is opened (door, trunk, hood) after setting, it won't remote start.

 

I'm pretty sure it's illegal here in MI specifically b/c of a vehicle possibly moving unattended.
