Dont mean to be an a$$hole, but please dont tell me you plan on putting a vortex generator on your neon.

If it's functional, why not?

It just wouldnt be right if you put a vortex generator on a srt-4. It would be like putting a ferrari emblem on your NSX.

I think everyone is missing the point it is functional but only in congunction with the Evo VIII's rear spoiler. It has never been tested and was not designed to work on any other car or spoiler design.

um...didnt say i was going to put it on my neon. chill out guys, i can talk about other things than just my sartie. if i was going to do that on my car, i would do somthing a little more custom and somthing that fit the lines better. it woudl look goofy on the curved roof of the neon! no im just wondering how much of a real difference it makes. why the top end cars have them - MR, FQ300, FQ400. and the EVO ix will have them too? so they must make a pretty big difference. im just curious how much so, how noticeable.

and you all need to learn that all cars are hodge-podged. true i have a mitsu turbo on my car, but guys do a little research. Dodge owns the Lancer platform!!! so come on guys cut a brother - well half brother, our cars are related afterall - some slack!!! we are all friends, and im here to learn

There was a thread posted that had a link to a Mitsubishi site that showed all the testing done on the Vortex Generator.

^^^ yeah and if you actually read through the paper, most of the testing was done WITHOUT the spoiler. The Evo spoiler does help though. I'm willing to bet that the SRT-4 spoiler (being pretty high as it is) will actually have an effect since the extended laminar flow will be partially caught under the wing. The key part of the Vortex Generator development was measuring the boundary layer thickness of the airflow across the roof of the car, not the wing. So if you want to compare anything, compare the overall flow of air between the SRT-4 and the Evo.

the srt wing IS functional, belive it or not. the car will do 155-160 stock, and trust me, even at 70 you will notice a difference. driven it with it on and off. remember guys its a neon, its kinda sketchy with it off! but on makes high speed much much more stable

anyone have that link? i will search, but if someone knows where it would be very helpful. thanks guys
