Got my 05 evo 2 days ago, need help!!

I was wondering what mods to get first for the evo. I got rid of my 03 350Z and sold most of the mods of it and got cash but Im not familiar with turbos or what should I get first. Of course for now I will like to keep it under warranty
thanks for the help
Jose

^hes right^ if you dont know your power goal yet you cant go wrong with an exhaust, intake, and boost controller. i have an AFCII and like it but if your going all out i would wait and get an AEM EMS. just think of getting stuff that you wouldnt need to replace later in your modding.

either go for performance mods and forget the warranty, or just do the exterior/interior stuff, and keep it. you make the call, but if you read a few threads you will see that the chances of getting your car fixed under warranty with performance mods is slim to nill. good luck. someons shouldve told you that before you bought the car.

Quick question, does the warranty transfer to a second owner?

I guess it also will depend on the dealer. Talk to your dealer and see. Maybe they allow some performance mods. You never know until you try.

So if I put cat back exhaust the warranty is void?
In the 350z if I would take it to the dealer with a problem related to the mod then they would not cover but lets say my turbo dies and they see an exhaust that means that they wont cover it
I think thats horsecrap!
Im having my laywer read the warranty fine print and get back with you

HP i want to get i the 300hp at the wheels
what do you guys reccomend and in the order that I should get it
one more question, what are the top mod brands the most are happy with
thanks-
Jose

Mitsu.,.....well most of the manufacturers, are very touchy when it comes to mods. By law, if the product you put on cause the damage, then they can void the warranty. But if they can't prove it, then they have to repair it under warranty. It's kinda like if your radio goes out and you have a cat-back system, they can't deny you to fix the radio because you have a cat-back because the exhaust has nothing to do with the radio. But if your turbo goes out for some weird reason, they can blame the exhaust system but like I said, they have to prove it that the exhaust was at fault.
