Vishnu is the best, thata who I went with. This topic probably has 10 trillion threads already. It just depends on what you want. Vishnu is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

IBTL, lol
Good luck with this topic, there seems to be a lot of opinions on this, all I can say is look aournd in the Works, Vishnu, and the Dynoflash forums. You should look at the methods of making power and testing that power. I'm not a fan of Works only because they are not exactly available for Custom Tuning which is rally the BEST way to go. As for Standalones and the like such as the tried and true AEM and Power FC you need to hike around and see what the advantages of either system are. The power FC is a sweet unit it is just not for the novice and there are very few "certified " tuners (I have this on my SR).
I've got a custom XFlash done by Shiv from Vishnu done at dyno4mance in ATL, I'm very happy with the tune and I know that I'm making excellent power for a DynoDynamics with my very few mods.

A question like this is WAY too subjective.. There really is no "Best" tuner.. Anyone who has worked with evo's like Vishnu, Buschur, Dynoflash, turbotrix, etc.. all do good work, you need to do your research and find the products that best suits your needs.. Plus geographic area since your much better off choosing a tuner that is within driving distance if at all possible. Once you find someone you have in mind, then do your research.. Try not to troll for opinions, but search for information about them, its less likely that you'll get extreme opinions in either direction that way.. Then if you have to ask, at least you have most of your information already set aside.

Just remember "Opinions are like A**h*les, everyone has one, and they all stink" get your facts and make an educated decision.. as long as you work with someone who has alot of experience with your type of car, you should have decent results.

Well the only thing i'm going to recommend is that you select a tuner based on their ability to tune the car on a dyno and tailor the programing for your car and the mods you have. You will know that your car is making the most possible safe power with your mods.

Well said!

I'm going to close this thread to prevent any potential flame wars from starting up... long history of that happening. I think you've gotten some great advice on which direction to take and you can always conduct research on various tuners through the forums to get a better idea of which you'd like to use. It won't hurt to talk to and/or visit the tuners if possible either

Good luck,

Mark
