OK...What Gives?...legroom related

Ive made up my mind to get an 05 EVO
Ive sat in more than a couple, including an MR(dealership, friends, etc.,)
all the EVO's Ive sat in Ive felt really comfortable and had plenty of leg room in the drivers seat(more so than the STi)
however, last week I sat in an 05 EVO at a local dealership and it didnt feel right
I had the seat all the way back
but it was a bit akward lol
Im about 6'4 I hate being tall lol

so all the tall drivers out there in the EVO...chime in

I would go back to that dealership but we had it out when they wasted my time and told me they wont sell me the car for invoice lol
and Im not going back to another one until I sell my current car

so is it just me or what??? lol

I am 6'4" aswell and it was difficult for me to sit in the driver's seat in a STI. In the EVO, I can sit in the back comfortably. If it's between the STI or the EVO... The EVO is for us tall guys.

im 6 foot 3, fit perfectly with little room to spare above my head. i do put the seat all the way back on the rails, and the lumbar ( upper seat) quite far back as well, with no problem with legroom in the rear. Obviously i do this because of my height, but also to get the seat position of a coupe, not that of a econo 4door sedan. The evo has the be the PERFECT car for me. I fit amazingly in the seats with my large build, and in the position i have the seat in, i can reach everything without any strain. It feel like im driving my 02 celica (without having to open the sunroof or tilting it up so my head can clear). (which really sucks when you live in cold snowy wisconsin and decide not to take the evo and your hair freezes drivin to work, haha)

BTW i have an 03 with sunroof

and RE the sti, the seats were what primarily led me away from the STI. There is virtually NO room for your legs in the rear when the driver is sitting comfortably, the headroom is unbearable, i felt like a hunchback. In my opinion, subaru shoulda just made the WRX into a coupe! The seats werent the ONLY reason i chose the evo, i chose not to mention the overrated power, lack of stereo, HORRIBLE bodyroll/handling, andthe fact that a 5 speed lower powered evo GSR can keep up with one and beat it in most all tests (damn reviewers should compare the MR to the STI, think about it! 6 speed, 300 hp! yet the GSR is still keeping up!)

I don't know about evos, but on my rally theres a dial on the drivers side seat that raises the seat up and down.

Maybe it was too far up?

i am 6 4 as well, and i chose the evo over the sti for seat comfort, and legroom as well. i have a big build, and i fit perfectly. i did however opt not to go for the sunroof because i felt a ltitle more cramped for headroom than without one. maybe you just didnt have it adjusted right, but i feel great in mine.
PS- i made the right decision with the evo, over the sti.

6'3'' right here

In my Sti i akways get uncomfortable. It is so small and barely has any leg room at all

In my evo i can drive as long as i want, move around and not hit anything. I can even sit in the back completely comfortable

Go back and sit in it again so you can fix that feeling

i'm 6'5" and am perfectly fine with the leg room. as long as your waist isn't 52", there shouldn't be a problem.

I'm 6'1" and I have plenty of leg room. The only thing I would like is for the seat to be
2" lower.

Im 6'1" tall, and I sit with the seat one or two notches forward. You don't wanna be laying back too far, the Evo's made to sit farther up and higher, more of an "attacking" position. Don't get toooo comforable, gotta attack those twisties!
