The latest version has POP radar detection, which is a huge plus.

I was going to get that one as well ,but that **** clocked me from behind I heard Valentine 1 works in all directions

For 30 dollars less you can have the same protection from Passport 8500 X50. The arrows mean nothing to me. If I get a signal, I slow down. Who cares where the cop is at, all I care is that he doesn't pull me. As for Pop mode, the X50 has it but all I get is false alarms with it around my town. It's too new for many jurisdictions to be using it. It hasn't failed me yet. My mount location is about two inches off the center dash. I'm not worried about getting popped from behind, I use my rearview and I don't get stupid with speed if I don't know who's around.
Don't let the Valentine users try to sway you with "it's the best" cause it's not. Do some research and you'll see for yourself.

when i was in new york / new jersey
it was very accurate

when i got to maryland
it didnt work well at alll

from like 95% accurate to 10 percent

for more information on what POP is search for it on the forum, theres a really comprehensive explanation for it. basically its this new type of radar that radar detectors have trouble catching, but apparently its so impossible to calibrate properly that it won't hold up in court. and theres even a discretion on their website.

it has to be placed where it can get the best signals. the windsheild is your only option if u want it to be accurate.

on my buddy's tt supra he had it in the top righthand corner of the windshield. and than had the 2nd display custom fitted in the dash. it looked clean as heII

Damn it,looks like Passport is the top dog.I shouldnt bid on that one off the ebay.There is still a chance ,maybe somebody will outbid me Thanx a lot ,dude!!
