Will trade my Evo for SRT4
I have driven multiple versions of each car....and after doing so, AND living in the midwest for my WHOLE life, I have chosen to spend a few extra thousand dollars, actually about 4 or 5, and purchase the EVO, just better fit for me in my current situation, and the SRT's are definitely not holding their value the way the EVO is my man....you made the right choice, stick with it
Thanks everyone for the moral support. I think i knew the right answer all along!! As to my financial situation, sometimes things look good on paper, but different in reality (ie. furnishing a house, etc.). Anyway the Evo will stay for now, and i'll just hafta keep asking for the big raise (lol). Def. want to check out Blackhawk farms too. sounds pretty sweet.

IF it is HONESTLY lowering the quality of your life? Sell it and buy a an accord and focus on getting financially sound. Afterwards then go buy a car that you want. Untill then sell the evo and live well. Don't live badly and drive well.
If you can't afford it, then you can't afford it. I second the recommendation to stay within the Lancer family, though. Pick up a Ralliart and use the extra cash to drop a turbo in there. The RA is wicked with light boost!
Why on earth would you buy a Neon?
All kidding aside...and of course I may be a bit biased...but if it's your only vehicle, you might want to consider keeping the EVO for the AWD. SRT-4s are terrible in the snow (unless you slap some snows on it, then it's not too bad). Instead of buying snow tires, I went out and bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee so I can drive in the snow and keep the SRT-4 for warmer weather and the track....besides, the Jeep will make my SRT-4 a trailer queen this summer!
Oh and I'm originally from Beloit Wisconsin so I know just where you guys are talking about!

I think you have to judge for yourself how much the car is worth to you. If you LOVE the car, it's worth it to keep it. I'm a college student working when not in school to keep my Evo but that's b/c it's worth that much to me. Some people would say why, but for me it's easy b/c this car is everything I EVER wanted in a car - it's perfect. If you don't feel that way get an Economic Honda (best built after toyota/lexus) until you can afford something better.
Get out of dept at all cost!!!! Seriously if you are living pay check to pay check to support the Evo and you don't feel like you are using it to its fullest potential then sell it. You sound like your still young and you will be able to get a REALLY sick car if you invest and save right now. Hell I sold my evo for a 95 supercharged M3 that was half the price and I'm soo much happier with my payments. I can go on vacation again, yipeee.
get rid of the car and buy a used civic. you will never truly enjoy the car if your always going to complain about how much it's costing you. It is better to be driving a civic and be financially sound than an evo and bankrupt. also forget about the srt-4. if you are going to get that you might as well keep the evo.
