Say I put 10 grand down, and the car was 30 grand... and I had great credit (0% APR) I would divide 20,000 by 60 and get $333 a month.. correct?
Right.... and enjoy - they are great cars... if have never driven a turbo with 300 horses before you might want to take a half day course, it will save your clutch and wallet

Now insurance is a WHOLE different story. Even with a clean record your insurance premiums will be high till at least the age of 25 I think is when they drop.
Yea, thats something that would be possible. Because right now on my jetski I am the primary signer, and my mom is the co-signer (pretty sure, or vice versa).

Im just so anxious.. I want that care soo bad! Thanks a lot for the help too crusin . Anything else your willing to lemme know, go ahead!

YEp, easy on the clutch I had 03 evo with 28,000 miles on the clock with stock clutch, Few drag, AutoX's with good times. Just dont beat on it and you will be ok. Good luck with your savings... btw I pay way too much for my RS then I should but i can afford it so i dont care.

I would buy one by the end of this year, they get cheaper

The only other thing I can tell you is that it took me all summer to find the evo for the right price. First I wanted black then white then I was like I don't care as long as I get an evo with under 15,000 miles for this price and I ended up finding a silver 03 with 781 miles for 26k. Took me about 3 months to find her. This is the best place to find used evo's and is where I found mine through another evom member. I flew to Minnesota to pick her up and I drove her all the way back to NM. It was cheaper then having the car trucked here.

I wanted an evo for 2 years (as soon as i got out of highschool), but i had to wait on buying cause i went to Ben Franklin IT for auto technology and didnt want the financial stress. so i waited patiently to graduate and when i did guess where i got a job? Boch mitsu, and i bought a 05 electric evo at dealer cost and loyalty rebate (i have a lancer, too) it came to 27,000 and i put 7500 down to drop the finance to 19500. i owe 250 a month and insurance. i make about 35,000 right now because i left boch, and now i work on nissans. After this month i get a raise to 19.20 an hour! flat rate.

Anyone know of any other good sites to look for used cars, or Evo's in general? I've been looking on eBay motors (1 Evo in Michigan that I noticed), and autotrader (like 3-4 Evos in Michigan). Just so I can keep a look out, and see how prices are doing.

The ones I see now range from $23,000 to $31,000 (used).

No offense, but if you are going to get an evo I wouldn't be worried about modding it. Might want to pay off what you owe first. Also, even though you said you were going to careful and all, the Advans on the Evo wear down real fast regardless of how you drive. Just trying to help.

Thanks for the heads up! Yea, like I said, I probably wouldn't mod for a good amount of time. I have also read other things about the advans.. so its something I keep in mind.
