Just committed to my Evo
Just committed to my Evo
Should have it in a few weeks. I am buying it used. It's a Rally Red 2003 Evo with a full 3" turbo back exhaust, Buschur intake, ACT 2600 clutch, Turbo XS BOV, MBC, Evo VII tails, and a Dynoflash reflash. As soon as I get it I'm getting a set of 18x8 Volk CE28Ns in bronze, Defi boost and water temp gauges (BF series with Link), and EvoDave headlights, which should soon be followed by 264 in / 272 ex. cams, Apexi SAFC-II, Do-luck front lip, Walbro fuel pump, and a new reflash.
Well, pics when I get it I guess...I'm pretty excited, but that sure is a lot of money

congrats on the new ride! i remember the day i got mine. none of my friends believed i got it because i said i was gonna get one for almost a year! i remember the looks on my friends faces when i pulled up to them in the evo. jaws dropped then and now its just "breakin necks" so to speak
Yeah, I called my best friend and I was like "Guess what?!" took me 20 minutes to convince him to let me come to his house but he still didn't believe I got it... he was pissed cuz he got his WRX like 2 weeks before.
This car apparently dyno'd at 300whp on a Mustang dyno and ran a 12.4 at the track...that's still a second faster than the Integra, plus I can drive it in the snow - a huge selling point. That's what I have to tell myself to justify the purchase...that it's worth it because of the versatility. I CAN drive this in the winter if I wanted to...I couldn't drive the Integra. I can fit 5 people comfortably in this, and only 2 people could fit comfortably in the Integra. This will handle better, and will pull harder...has more prestige and a higher resale value. I can see myself keeping this for 5 years or more, and I couldn't say the same with the Integra. I "only" need to spend $5500 on this to make it perfect, and I'd have to spend another $20k on the Integra to make it perfect. Little things like that, along with the fact that it has 60,000 less miles and is 9 years younger help ease the sting a bit, as will the first drive I assume LOL
Auto: You're 100% correct! - When i get some cash in hand I'am willing to do the same thing with the car what you listed - + set of wheels when everything is done, my goal is 300whp and 12.4 would be just perfect for me.
Thats right - Evo is not that fast maybe to some people - It's not a sports car, rear wheel drive But fun car to drive + 4 door + All season fun!
good luck with sale, post some pics!when you get the evoh. later.
