couldnt he technically go above the 15 psi that Rock blew his engine with at the drag strip with these internals and strength stuff? he could potentially put down 280 whp and run a low 12 sec 1/4 mile (with slicks of course)....but most guys on here only run like 9 psi because of internals and such - so he will be better off to begin with if he can run more than that......good luck. keep us posted!

I don't plan on running more than 8 tops on stock internals. That would be at the track for passes only, 4 maybe 6 for normal street driving, just enough to have some fun. Andy, thanks for the reminder on where boonville is. I was looking at a MP3 protege b4 I got this car.

Fox thank you for making a good point. To awnser anyone's question about going FI, What do you think a fully built lancer engine with forged pistons, forged rods, stage 2 camshaft, new bearings, fully rebuilt engine (including injectors and all), with a t3 super t70 trim turbo on it, what do you think that will bring about horsepower. I will tell you now.... I Dont know, exactly why i am doing it. I may not be able to be the fastest car around but i sure as hell will be the fastest lancer around because i tried something new and expanded my mind and car. Yes our car doesn't have the most powerfull engine ever but didn't people say that about the civic's.... well now they are the most popular modded jap cars around. So not only will my engine have hella power it will be cryo treated being able to withstand more abuse than any normal engine, which means.... yes i can hangle exteme amounts of boost. Sorry if i sounded like an *** but i am tired of people bringing down our cars, they look great and they have potential as long as people have their minds set to do something. And yes i am really drunk also. But i will deff. keep you all posted on more stuff as it is getting done and hopefully have pics when i have time to take them

I hate to add more to your plate but... our transmission isnt exactly infinitely strong. At some point your tranny wont handle the power and break. That or your axle will snap like a twig.

really, i thought they were designated to hold up to v6's?

i agree w/ mike, our tranny/axles can aparantly withstand more than 400 horses. the mirages with the same tranny basically, have done it overseas, with the stock trans and axles and such.
it would be sick to see a 400 horse lancer and to match it, prolly about 370 tq., no civic has anywhere near that amount of torque. also our trans. are wayyyy better then the dsm gst's axles and trans., which tend to break around 350 with decent abuse, belive me i know this, and that number lowers if the gst is lowered more than 1 inch.(not to mention their crankwalk)


edit: forgot to say that is for a 5spd, i dont know about automatics, their most always weaker, i mean look at nextgenerationx's poor tranny.

good luck w/ your ride, its gonna be a crazy one, i only wish to get to 300 horse someday.

oh yeah, ha one of the important parts of my build that i forgot to say. Yeah i am also doing a lightened flywheel and a stage 2 clutch in and that will also be cryotreated. Now the actual transmission i don't know if i will change it yet or not. I think i will see if i can get over 400 and snap it because it would be awesome to see. If i did it, somehow it is getting mounted to a wall.
