hey i was in your situation, im 16. its a great car. you cant beat the price for what you get. as far as the 120hp engine, honestly you dont need anymore than that. and if you get one, you can be apart of a cool forum like so...

the best way to get good at driving is to practice. of course your gonna ***** up, but thats what learning is about.

as far as the car goes, it seems to me that it doesn't matter what you get because it's gonna be your mom's car. celica's look good and are really sporty. i wouldn't sweat it.

I'm 21, the lancer is my first car! i fell in love with it the first time i saw it at the dealer hahahah. ur 15 dood, you don't need a fast car. ur insurance will be sooo fuqkin high. and whoever said to get a saturn, no, u get to an accident with that thing and its over. damn saturns are made of plastic or something btw, thats so awesome ur moms been driving stick like forever. you'll get it, it runs in your blood. haha

I thought our HP was higher than a base Civic... I thought it was higher than most other base model cars in our bracket (save the protoge, neon, and corolla).

It's funny that people say reliability issues about this car and then recommend subaru in the next breath. Subaru is NOT a reliable ride. Too many drivetrain problems.

Lancer may not be the best car out there but I am glad i chose it for my first new car. You are def. lucky though. I wish i had a Lancer as my first car instead of the beater I had. All i know is that I will never drive another buick. Never ever ever.

heh, Yeah it looks more and more like we're going to get the Lancer. She called a dealership and we're gonna check it out this saturday. The one she really wants is the 2003 O-Z Lancer, in yellow.

i dont think what you said is correct, lancer can kill a 2002 civic ex on the street, we also got way more room space, but as for aftermarket, its still new so its gonna be awhile. unlike civic which been around for ages. but have fun testing it out at the dealer. im sure youll like the smooth ride.

Some guy on the other board I asked said that, but my mom really hates the civic anyway, and so do I, so theres no way we're getting one of those heh.
