Unhappy Avatar problem

I got an avatar from a website. The avatar is 64 x 64 pixels. I try using it, it said, "The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 11264 bytes". The website's max is 75 x 75 pixels. Please help!!

make sure the file-size is less than 11Kb, if not use photoshop, paint, or GIMP to shrink it/lower the quality till it's 11Kb or less

You're really close... just open it in paint and shrink it to like 95%

It has to be under size both dimesions and memory space, not one or the other.

Pull down the "Image" menu and choose "Stretch/Skew" Then in the Horiz and Vert boxes, change the number to a smaller number than 100. Make them the same. Like 75 and 75 or 42 and 42. It will shrink the picture that % of what it was. Then, you can go to "Image" again and check "Attributes", which will tell you how much smaller you've made the image, including both dimensions and disc space. That's it.

Or were you pulling up this 6 month old thread and making a joke because it's so damned simple?
