Nice forum. I just bought my evo two months ago. I've been through a few eclipses and I think its been well past time I stepped it up.

I have the car lowered, afc2, boost gauge, af gauge, hks bov and evo7 tails. My man says we can order the downpipe tomorrow. One step at a time. After the exhaust and some tuning I'd like to get a few more cosmetic things... preferably in carbon fiber or gloss black.I'd like to put my 4g63girl plates on the evo, but my man doesn't want to be caught in it with those plates.


I love the evo, obviously. I was hooked on the eclipse for 4 years and it was the only car in my eyes, but I am so glad to be rid of them. I like to post pics like its my job, but I really dont have much of the evo yet. I'll get on it.

This one snapped a rod bolt and the piston went through the block.

So my man built this:







That thing was a piece of art. Unfortunately I couldnt afford it anymore and it was parted out. Never made it to the engine bay that I had so meticulously picked out the pieces of my piston.

So while that sat, this found a home in the driveway with the rest of the girls.

The eclipses are all gone now. Thank god. My man had a laser running 11.77 @ 118 and a 98 gst going 13.0 @ 116. Yeah, I know his cars were faster than mine, but my evo is faster than his 350z

Good color choice, and welcome! Your Eclipses were nice, but the Evo is nicer . Can you post up more pics of the Evo 7 tails? I was thinking about getting them for my EB or going the blacked out way. Thanks!

thanks. when i bought the car the dealership told me they only made that color for part of the 2005 year... then stopped midway. do you know anything about the color being rare? i've seen a few, but not as many as the other colors. and it looks like the 9 will have the same color as well.

either way, the color is so freakin pretty. i have diamonds in my eyes everytime i approach the car. it looks more purple the farther away you are.

anyhow...







i got them from cusco. the guys were really cool and even opened them with me saying they have a problem with the corners chipping... and sure enough, one of them was chipped. so he gave me another one right there. just something to look out for.

but at least i dont cringe anymore washing the rear of the car. i hated those old tails with a passion.

 

Great color choice. It is my favorite. I wish there were more woman in this world like you. I need a girlfriend like you. One that understands why I'm building a monster and doesn't have to question why. Congrats on two beautiful cars. Love the rims on the 350 too.

yeah, girls are tricky. i have a hard enough time just finding normal girls to talk to and hang out with. i dont know how you guys do it. i saw this chick today with long, fake nails singing will smith's new song TAPPING HER NASTY NAILS on the paint of the guy's car she was riding in.

i'd snap each one off her fingers.

i rarely get upset, but that bothered me enough to remember it now.

i try to take it easy on my man. and i have to admit, he does everything in his power to help me get what i want. i do love that boy. he's on this forum... somewhere.

 

i know your man's 350 looks hot, but i bet he'd rather drive the evo all the time huh?

 

he really loves his car, and says he likes it better than mine, but I feel the same about my evo. HIS original plan was to get 2 evo's, but the 350 really started to grow on him. before i saw the evo in electic blue, I had my eyes on a tt 300zx, black, just like his nissan. it's his first rwd car and he is enjoying it. we used to have a 04 blue srt4. that thing had some *****. the car was sold locally to a friend and still today, the srt walks the evo on the highway.

over the last couple months of winter, we had only the z and the srt4. i had sold the black gsx too early.

that sucked. the 2 absolute worst cars I have ever driven in snow.

both the z and evo being stock... i have to admit his car is much more solid than the evo around corners. and high speeds (well, not that high, 90- 120), even with the windows down, the Z is very stable. it still feels like 60 mph. the two cars were dead even when we raced as well

i didn't think it would be that much of a difference lowering the evo, but i am much more confident hitting the turns now. i could feel the height of the car if that makes any sense, and it was uncomfortable to say the least.

it is fun though to keep the z for a day, wax it up all nice and drive around in pigtails. that really pisses the old guys off!

 

I find this comment very funny and I concur. Whats even worse is when somebody with a ring on their finger, belt buckles leaning on the car, or watchon their wrist touches your car. They don't realize what its really doing to the paint.

 

Congrats, that color is so sick. Thats the color I will be getting my evo in next month, I can't wait .

 

What color did he paint the track wheels on the Z? Or did he just get the powdercoated?

What are you lowered on? Once you start modding the evo (exhaust,ecu,cams,camshaft ect) the Z will be in your rear view mirror every time good luck with the evo. Be easy on the clutch
