I thought the evo8 came with stock HID lights. I turn mine on and they are yellow. is this right?

HID's in 05 models are optional, except in the MR which is standard

 

You have to get the Leather Package in order get HIDs in a non-MR EVO. It was only stock for the 2003 models.

 

yeap, i went to a mitsubishi dealer today to get me my oil change, while walking around i asked a few guys who work their they said dont buy the HIDS from us better off going aftermarket because the mitsu ones will be an arm and a leg to buy. im just going to purchase some after i get my JDM MR headlights.

 

umm i have a 2004 gsr not mr and have the hIDS... believe they were stock than as well.. i might be wrong though... just know I didnt pay extra

 

03/04 came with stock hid's.

 

Anyone know if the HID's from Mitsu would work in my 05? Are they a direct bolt in
and plug in? Any info on this would be appreciated.

yesss, but i went and asked a salesmen, he said for the price they sell them for better off just buying aftermarket HIDS. why spend 7-800 dollars on them, if you can get them for like 2 or 3 hundred.
